Helen J. Murphy, 89, formerly of Spring Township, died May 21, 2012 in ManorCare Sinking Spring.
Her husband, Franklin LeRoy Murphy, passed away August 4, 2009. They were married September 15, 1965.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary (Stasko) Hilt.
Helen worked for over 30 years for Bell Electric, retiring as supervisor.
She is survived by her daughter, Bilette J., widow of Farrell Franks, St. Louis, MO; her brother, Lewis Hilt, Jr., Reading and her half sister, Lillian Lynch, Medford, OR. Three grandchildren: Stephanie M., wife of John Roveda; Robert F. Franks and Kristin B., wife of Ajit Deshpande and seven great grandchildren also survive her.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
