William Robert Weber, 86, formerly of West Lawn, died July 31, 2012 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Helen M. (Foss) Weber, whom he married February 27, 1988.

William was predeceased by his first wife, Helen (Szelak) Weber, who died in 1987.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 14, 1926, he was a son of the late John H. and Kathryn E. (Sarge) Weber.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII, where he was a staff Sgt. of an Armored Tank Command.

William was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn.

He was a graduate of Reading High School and McCann School of Business.

William was employed 31 years as a case worker with the Department of Public Assistance, retiring in 1985.

He is also survived by two children: Therese E. (Weber), wife of Dana Churchel of Castle Rock, Washington and David L. Weber of Oak Forest, ILL.

William is also survived by two step-children: George E., husband of Beverly Leek of Port Charlotte, Florida and Ann M. (Leek) Gilmer of Reading.

There are four grandchildren: Heather (Leek) Wint, Rodd Leek, David Leek and Matthew Gilmer and three great grandchildren: Christina, Jaedyn and Devin.

He was predeceased by a brother, Dale Weber.

Services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
